Handel Fantasia No 5
Updated: Feb 21
George Frederic Handel is most noted for his operas, oratorios (Handel's Messiah in 1741, the most famous of all oratorios), and instrumental compositions. During his lifetime, Handel was renowned both as an organist, and as one of the greatest harpsichordists of his day - indeed, such was his charisma, that the great Beethoven himself once said that he would bare his head and kneel at Handel’s grave out of immense respect. Emile plays Fantasia in D minor with wonderful and tempestuous sturm und drang.
